We’ve recently been away for 4 days with the awning rubbing against the cab door, which seems to have left a lighter section of paint. Has it taken off the top coat? Can anyone diagnose it? I will see if it is something that will buff out with a bit of polish

Try polishing it , but looks like it’s rubbed the lacquer off

Re: Paint rub/fade
Would a solid colour be lacquered?
It does look like it although a good mopping might sort it, probably need the whole van doing though.

Not usually but it does look like lacquer, easier to tell in person

Thank you both! It doesn’t feel any different to the touch in terms of layers, so will give it a buff over the weekend and report back.
