Hi,
So we’ve recently bought a T25 which has been sat for a year. It’s in remarkably good nick but I think that’s testament to the previous owner. When we bought it, it was SORN, not driven for a year. I’m looking to do an oil change, apologies if this is a no brainer, but I’m new to all this. Is an oil flush recommended? I’m taking it on to Union Aircooled in a few weeks but want to get used to driving it before. Just a bit concerned at having a year old oil swishing round the engine! Thanks

Re: Oil flushing
Just get the engine hot. Drain the oil. Fit a new filter. Fill it with fresh oil. No need to flush.

Re: Oil flushing
If it we were me i would get the engine up to temp, drop the oil and filter , refill with a cheapo 15/40 mineral oil and a new filter and run it for 200 miles and then drop it again and put a new filter on and some good 15/40 mineral oil .
No need to buy flushing liquids , use cheap oil

Re: Oil flushing
A bit obvious, but beware of getting burnt when draining the warm / hot oil.

You don't say what your engine is. If its a petrol then maybe change the copper sealing ring on the drain plug.

Re: Oil flushing
Also a it obvious, but not to new owners, check the fuel lines. Some very dodgy tubing out there.
