Re: Caravelle to Camper self build.
just wondered where you got you zig unit from? its looks proper smart
ive been after one for a while but can only find second hand ones and one that dont look so modern!
Great job of the interior too, you have inspired us to make our own interior rather than buy one for £1000!!
if you dont mind me asking how much did it cost you over all to do the interior yourself?
Thanks

Re: Caravelle to Camper self build.
Hi all,
My sincerest apologies for not completing this thread as yet. As you may or may not know my last post was a couple of weeks before we set off for poland for our wedding so I was very very busy!
The Wedding was a huge success, the Camper played a wonderful part in the wedding and, during the Honeymoon, (which was the reason for the build) the van and interior performed brilliantly. There are a few changes I will make to the interior but I will Document that later.
Since the wedding, I have moved house, moved job, Sold a bug, Bought and sold a T25 Panel van, been to Poland for Christmas again, and...........we are having a baby!!!!!!!!! So I have been a busy boy! These are the reasons for not finishing the thread, Sorry!
Until the next installment of interior building goodness, please accept one of our wedding photos as a small consolation.
Back soon..........

Re: Caravelle to Camper self build.
Hi all!
At last I have returned to finish this thread once and for all! Unfortunately I have now sold Bulli to release some pennies for our little girl (having kids is expensive right!?!) but he went to a lovely couple near oxford who used him for their wedding in august this year.
So the pictures you see below are actually the For Sale pictures I used in my ad, but they are of good enough quality to show the finished example. Thanks again for all of your fantastic comments throughout the duration of the build, It really helped me along and inspired me to finish the Job.
Also you will be pleased to know I am still in the VW fraternity (as I always will be) but this time we have chosen a VW T4 as our new family wagon. It was a Painters van sourced locally and I will be doing a very similar interior job on this but with some lessons learned from this build .
Bulli enjoying the beach one last time.
So there you have it! I hope you like it, the new owners certainly did. If you do have any questions, please send me a PM or come a search me out on the T4 forum as I will be on there more often now.
And as a parting shot, please meet my new project. It is yet unnamed but I have already started the camper conversion ball rolling by ordering an all singing, all dancing Bebb Bed with Isofix points for the littl'un! See you around guys

Re: Caravelle to Camper self build.
HI all, Its been a while, how are you all?!
Ive resurrected this thread as Ive been hankering after Bulli. Turns out I still had the Email of they buyer so I asked him how its all going.
He still Owns Bulli, and took him all over Europe for his honeymoon too which is awesome, but.........since having his first born in 2013 the van has been sorned and off the road
So I asked the inevitable, and Bulli is up for sale!!!!!!!!!!! Watch this space, I could be back in the game

Re: Caravelle to Camper self build.
Hi All,
Wow, this is an old thread, I do hope people out there can still use it as a reference or inspiration for their own build!
Anyway, After many a crappy job in the world of civvie street (I'm an ex soldier) I decided to bite the bullet and start my own business building and converting camper vans!!!
Please welcome, Combe Valley Campers!
If you would like to learn more about it, or see what I'm up to on a day to day basis, please find me on facebook as https://www.facebook.com/combevallycampers/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; or on instgram @combe_valley_campers
Cheers, and happy camping
Leigh
