Camming it would be a waste I think as they tend to move the power up the rev range. Putting the 2.0 bottom end on from a MKIII will improve it lots BUT it's a) lots of hassle and b) it might casuse clearance problems as the block is a little taler than the 1.8. From memory the 8v GTI is 112bhp. If it is the GTi lump don't worry about the tappits, as soon as these engines pass about 80,000 miles they start ticking. I have a 3way fridge that isn't connected to anyting. By freezing food items and milk that you don't plan to use for several days you can keep the fridge cool for 3 - 4 days.
