Another tyre pressures question sorry!

Post by purplecrocs »

I'm unsure as to what pressure. Door stickers says 39 and 48. But on the tyre it says max pressure to seat beads is 40. But then says elsewhere on the tyre that the max load is xxx at 65psi - so I'm unsure what I can put in the tyres - can I go to 48psi? Tyres are 184r14c steel belted

Thanks!

Max pressure 40psi is safety related to inflating and handling when fitting tyres to the rim so that the bead is even and exposed before inflating to a higher pressure .Your tyres are commercial rated and as stated on the tyre max load xxx at 65psi .So 48psi would be okay .The tyre pressures for the commercial rated tyres fitted to my T25 say max pressure 65psi at a max load xxx front&rear pressures i have in the tyres are 48psi .
