Just back from Stornoway on the Western Isles - the only place on the Outer Hebrides (as they used to be called) to fill up with LPG is in Stornoway - so expected to be fleeced at least just a little.......
but -
Petrol 123p per litre
diesel 138p per litre
LPG 50p per litre !!!!
Thats 15% cheaper than in Inverness!
Can anyone beat LPG at 41% of petrol cost or 36% of diesel cost?
Oh and all cooking (full meals on twin hob - toast
and tea regularly) and fridge (whenever stopped and level) for 9 days whilst away wild camping used approx 6 kg of our 10KG leisure tank - cost £3.50
Biggest cost differential - LPG - Petrol and Diesel
