Original domestic fridge in my camper doesn't seem to work on gas. No burner flame and ignition thing does not work. Any ideas?
Pictures would be appreciated if someone has a how to guide.

Re: Domestic fridge not working on gas
Hi,
Is it a piezo push button ignitor or a switched one?

Hi Normal Rules, have a look around using the forum search. There is a LOT on this subject. Relatively easy to fix and service. If the ignition isn't working new ones can be got from CampervanCulture.

You can service the fridge, clean out the burner remove and debris and loose rust
The piezo can be replaced.

Re: Domestic fridge not working on gas
Hi Normal Rules - I have the same fridge and had the exact same problem since I bought my van last year. Fridge worked on electric but not on gas.
May not be the same issue, but just to confirm does your ignition switch work correctly?
The light in the red switch should flicker on and off when you turn it on. When the gas ignites the switch then stops flickering (sparking) and will come on again if the gas flame is accidentally extinguished.
My switch was not working at all. So I took it out and noticed corrosion on the terminal inside, once I cleaned this up the switch then worked, sparked up and lit the flame that you can see on the inside of the fridge.
So at first I thought it was going to be a faulty ignition unit at the back of the fridge, or a problem with the gas, but ended up being a simple switch issue.
