Vacuum pipe to cylinder head below carburettor on my 1.9 wbx

Post by AlandAnn »

What is the purpose of this vacuum pipe please?
As far as I can see it sucks fresh air into the engine just below the carb, but I've had the hose blocked off before and didn't notice any difference.

there are two spigots, one connects to the vacuum advance on the disi the second one normally connects to the air intake warm air control on the airbox and/or the air intake pipework ahead of the airbox if you don't have the warmer pipes to and fro the exhaust connected to the warm air control on the intake then they can be blanked off, but you do need the one to the distributor to get correct performance
