Its also sad that a lot of the photos and videos now go to the Facebook site rather than on here. I don't do Facebook and don't want to as I don't trust it and don't want the exposure that it gives.
I'd really like to see the pics etc and believe that Facebook will really dilute the interest in the club

Not really. FB is much more user friendly than trying to upload here, especially as iPad App for Photobucket is pants. But I did it anyway
I totally agree... it is so much easier to upload to Fistbook... there must be a way of bulk shrinking photos or some kind of computer wizardry that the forum software can bulk shrink photos before trying to upload them. Its annoying that you have to host the photos on something like photobucket first too. It takes chuffin ages.
Im struggling to keep our local club forum page alive as the kids just upload their photos straight to facebook, but that never gives you the benefit of being able to look back and reminisce, as that post is lost within a couple of months of others posting - 'how much is this worth?' or 'Can i put this porsche engine straight in my beetle?'...
p.s - i have just heard that Irfanview can bulk shrink photos, but you would still have to copy and paste each link onto the site. I assume a forum server cannot host photos and the server would need to be the size of a house...
Sorry, i probably shouldnt have mentioned this subject in this thread.
cheers
I run a forum which has a picture hosting service. To be honest, ive got a section on that forum which is private to me that I use the host my pictures for other forums. I just upload them there and copy the url. Its quicker than photo bucket etc, in fact I can upload several and then just copy all the urls in one hit.
