Seats, replace? repair?

Post by juanbrein »

Hi there!

I have the original t25 seats from a joker westfalia. They are crap, super uncomfortable seats. On the other side they look really good on it.

I saw some people use the saab but I don't really like how they look in the van so looking for alternatives.

I'm quite tall as well, 6 foot 4 and I understand saab seats are quite tall as well.

What would you think is the best alternative? replace them? refurbish them?

I'm based in London, so if you know somebody that can help me I really appreciate it :-)

Just so your clear...
No seat fits in a T25 without modification cutting and some welding,
except another T25 seat.
.
If you have captains chairs then have them re-upholstered (new foam/padding) not just re covered.
I did this and it made the world of difference.
Cost me £280 per chair at a local furniture upholsterer
Jus' sayin' :ok

For re-upholstery, try Coastal Cushions in Worthing, check him out on FB, nice guy, decent prices, well pleased with end result.

I paid £160 IRRC for a pair of NOS front seat covers , bum and back on both seats, and local upholsterer fitted them and supplied and fitted new foam for £60 :ok

Keep your westy original, refurbish the old seats. Or at least store them somewhere until time comes to sell your camper to change back to keep value.

Oh my god! Those seats look absolutely amazing!

I'll have a try on all that. Thank you very much for the advice, exactly what I was looking for. I'll stick to originals and refurbish them
