headling Alternatives

HI again

I have seen the threads on the headling fititng and replacing etc
I have a doka and want something a bit different. I really don't like the original material
Has any one done anyhtning different and what did you do, change the material, use fibreboard / ply. You get the idea

I'm considering gluing stretch carpet directly onto the roof of my van ... I used thin mdf on a previous van. You could buy a different of headlining vinyl and you can get perforated or non perforated.

Advantage of gluing it direct to the roof would be that it would reduce the roof noise a good bit.

thats very true. maybe some insulation stuck on first then some pretty stuff.

still got little bits from conversion to finish, and exterior paint etc etc
