I feel your pain!

I have been chasing, enquired at Midland wheels, Vw heritage, performance alloys, retrodubs etc. Even enquired at Just Kampers all have ET 20. So depends on bearing wear/tyre wear, standing out too far etc.

I will let you know if I find any.

look for VW carat alloys.
Rob on here had set up for grabs.
they go straight on and only need different nuts/bolts.

Midland wheels sell at least one 7x17 wheel with an ET of 40
i looked at a set at vanfest last year, think they were a fuchs copy.
cant say as i rate the wheel quality from them though.

just campers stuff wont last long either.

what sort of size are you looking for ?
there are some wheels out there that bolt on direct (i meen no playing with spacers too..)

some 16"/17" mercedes , you just need to know what to look for .
16" granada cosworth.

not many 15" are a direct fit..
only really 7x15 et 25 wheels will fit direct, mercedes penta wheels can be found in this fitment.

most other 15" require spacers.

if you have an idear what you want i may be able to help.
WHY T3's.... because they are just so adictive, and having one just aint enough

16 inch granada cosworth wheel are not a strait fit. Centres are too small and rear studs are too short to fit them safely. The holes for nuts are big so different nuts are needed. Studs are 12mm on granada and t25 are 14mm so you cant use granada nuts iirc. I have granada wheels on mine. Its cheaper to go merc imho. :ok
Sounds like a golf

I've heard some advice that longer rear studs are also needed - is that right or are the original rear studs long enough to get the nut on with the carat alloys?

The original studs are long enough but you do need different nuts/bolts (conical instead of radius).
