Part finding problem!!!
Hello,
I have just joined club 80-90 and it looks awesome, especially the wiki bit, really useful and easy to understand!! Can we get something like that to help us understand women!!!
Anyway I have just bought a T25 and am getting to grips with changing filters, flushing the engine, general tinkering and also ripping out the hideousnous of the inside, I may post pictures, I think the fella who had it before me had an obsession with small bits of wood and screwing them into anything he could!
I need a new 'Inlet Manifold Heater Thermoswitch' also perhaps known as a Temperature Sender. I have been to numerous auto part shops been onto the GSF website and Just Kampers and cannot locate the part. It is pictured in the haynes manual on page 3.7 and can been seen in pic 10.3.....
Does it have another name that I don't know? Any ideas where I can get the part.
Cheers

Welcome
Phoning GSF is sometimes better, depending on your local GSF staff, can be heaven or is it hell, as the Eagles sang
If no success with Part Nos or description, keep asking here, OK

Billy...Defected to white box but still lurking.
.. and parts counter (oops, scratch that, I mean desk) staff in pinstripes, not white coats with HB pencils in the breast pocket. Suppose they still have to wash their hands now an again though, from having to handle the occasional oily plastic bag, Ergh! How demeaning

Good thinking there's a shiney garage like you said but I figured that sales people would just look blankly at me and try to get finance on a Passat or something!!
PS didn't mean to cause offence by the women/wiki comment! Am just trying to win my girl round with the 'shed'(her words) I've just bought!!

I suggest you first say your after a part for a wedge, when they look at you all confused say sorry you mean your T3, when that fails call it a T25. Only ruse the correct name of type 2 transporter when they look like they are going to cry
