Bristol area - bodywork / electrics please

Post by tally9040 »

Can anyone please recommend a bodywork restorer and electrics specialist in the Bristol area.
Nothing major, R/N/S wheelarch and R/N/S window have some rust bubbles coming through, and the window seals have perished on the two front doors.
Also I need a full electrics check and I think it will be a new system. All the auxillary stuff is disconnected at the moment and although there is a zig unit on the cupboard facia I have no idea if it works.
My campee is a 1983 High Top conversion with a 2.0 CU engine if that helps.
So far I have used Moores Motors in Clevedon who have been brilliant with the mechanical stuff which unfortunately has cost a fortune - but now the campee has a beautiful new Remtec engine which a heating system and all is good. But I would just like a comparison quote as I am well over my budget at present.
Many thanks.
Helen.

I was in the same situation as you last autumn and got a few quotes around the Bristol area. I had a load of panels welded in by Mark at V Dub Resto just north of Bristol.... http://www.vdubresto.co.uk/contact.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Seemed like a genuine guy and his quote was competative. Work seemed good but it's only been a few month so I guess time will tell. Definately worth a visit.
I'm sure that rust wasn't there last week! Rust blue slowly going yellow panel by panel - And five years later, Orange!
