Ancient Fire Extinguisher

Okay, when I ripped out my interior last year, a fire extinguisher (2kg dry powder) was saved from going to the dump.
Recently, when I looked at it, with a view to refitting, I notice that although the guage was in the green and the item intself was in good order externally, it was very, very old.....i.e. As old as the camper (1984)!
It had been inspected every year till 1991 - with dates on the back
My first inclination was to toss it in the bin and go buy a new one.
But I was wondering if these are serviceable items? I.e. in HM forces, the fire section would often service and refill fire extinguishers.
Being dry powder I assume that it has settled and I have a block of chalk in the bottom, irrespective of the pressure....
So, do I toss it or can it be serviced? And at what cost?
