I have a pilkington. Front windscreen.. And it now has Two chips in it. Its the only Non Vw glass on the van and it just does not sit right. Brand new brickwerk seal and water somehow water gets between the glass and seal snd comes over the top of the seal on inside nearside corner..
Id like to put a genuine vw screen in as its the only non vw glass on van any suggestions to stop the leak. .

Although I cannot offer help with the issue, get it dealt with as your fusebox and grounding point are close to that area.

Re: Front windscreen leaks
If the glass is chipped, then it would seem pointless to sort the leak until the glass is replaced.
If you were keeping the screen, then I would probably recommend squirting a bead of glass sealant as used for bonded screens between the rubber and the glass, and also repeat for between the seat and the window frame.
Probably Sikaflex or similar may work and remain flexible enough not to put any stresses through the glass when temperatures fluctuate (cold winters and hot summers).
I am assuming that the window frame is rust free.
In my experience, 95% of water ingress is due to rust perforated windscreen surrounds / frames.
I rarely hear of people quoting Brickwerks as a supplier of a screen seal.
Nothing wrong in that as they are a very good reliable supplier.
Normally people recommend VeWib supplied seals.
Just commenting as seal quality and fit can be quite variable.

Re: Front windscreen leaks
Frame is rust free as it was checked when i removed the old seal and fitted this on.. Its definitely not getting under the seal to body part its pooling in the corner of the glass to rubber seal and making its way under the glass.. And ito the van and dripping onto top of dash as shown in photos.. The reason im after a vw original glass is im hoping itsca better fit to the window opening etc snd the seal sits better.

Re: Front windscreen leaks
So good old captain has stopped the leak... However
Appears to be seeping through the seams as is no trace beyond this point above etc..
On inspection. As Im parked on a slight incline
It seems to be collecting here behind headlights abd running down the seam and through to the cab..
Ill allow to dry.. Rust treat. Captain Tolley then underseal??
