dont waste money when you can just use a cheap facet pump which wont need a regulator and will do the job for about £15

Thanks, never been sure about the reliability of these cheaper units but could give one a go. It's still up to 6PSI which I would expect to be more than the manual pump so it's still not clear to me if I need a regulator.

Well put it this way I have two of these on two different DG carb engines , no regulators and no problems for more than 6 years ..... I can only speak from experience.
I know of of at least three others using the same , again no issues ....
I forgot to mention, that the farcet pump pushes rather than pulls, so must be mounted next to the tank on the chassis rail where the filter already should be
This is exactly what i use,on my DG,12V power supplied va a tachometric relay ,pump on rubber bobbins ,just behind tank after filter,using Cohline R9 fuel hose, been perfect last 2 years totalling 7000 touring miles .

There's always someone who has a bigger or better one .
