For those that have a 240v hookup into a consumer unit, where is your consumer unit located?
I'm about to start converting a US '84 110v (as soon as it arrives from the US) and add an up to date 240v circuit, and would like to position it somewhere unobtrusive.
I was thinking of mounting it in the rear of this cabinet, but am concerned that it might be difficult to get to.
Thoughts/pics of your setup?

Why not replace the 110v socket? Above the circuit breaker. That's where mine is
