Afternoon all
I've cleaned up around the crank pulley to investigate a oil leak but cannot get it to leak whilst idling So I've removed the engine support bar and upper engine support alli bracket. The oil was all around the oil pump cover but I cannot work out if its from the crank pulley or the oil pump cover. The engine is now on a ratchet strap hoist so idling again is not ideal. I have decided to replace all the seals in the area.
So far I've got
Crank pulley seal
Oil pump seal. Is there an inner and outer for this??
Any others in the area?

I had a leak from the crank pulley seal, turned out that my crankcase breather was blocked and the crankcase pressure was enough to push oil out at high revs.

Crank case breather? Do you mean the oil breather tower? or something else?

On my 2.1dj there is a pipe from the oil breather tower to the air intake. The pipe had collapsed and blocked itself.
The blocked pipe resulted in enough crankcase pressure to spray a little oil out of the crank pulley seal.
Replaced a few bits before I sussed that one out.

Oil pump needs a very thin gasket between pump and cover ( 0.1mm thick), some aftermarket gaskets are too thick and so you get low oil pressure
personally id just do the crank seal unless you are sure the oil pump gasket you have is oem quality i.e Elring ( or measure thickness id you have a vernier caliper or micrometer) you can do the crank pulley seal this without removing all the engine mounts

The seal for the oil pump seal was bought last minute from just kampers. The seal is very thin almost paper thin but the quality is questionable from them. I'll change both. It's made a right mess everywhere is thick black gunge. Thanks

Other seals that commnly leak in that area
distributor seal
oil tower seal
fuel pump gasket (upper gasket hard to find make one from gasket paper)
just edited my post above, measure the oil pump gasket shoul be no more than 0.1mm thick
