...and ironically it’s in another garage now, but the doors served their purpose for a few years. Another money pit I had, a few years back, Oak Green GTI 16V:

My work own this prototype, so I dread to think what this cost when they bought it?!
...and this barn door will be at VolksWorld this year, all repaired! £££
...but I digress. The point I’m trying to make is, our T3’s are relatively expensive but it could be so much worse!
Happy Holidays!

Really great van. Always keep an eye on your updates as it's set the benchmark for where i'd like to get by blue 87 caravelle to. The mefro 16s look great, a real shame that Mefro are no longer making these (so I understand).
Looking at the rock and roll bed, it doesn't look like any which I've seen before in that it doesn't have the slight narrowing at the top of the backrest. Only one's I've seen have this narrowing at the top, as per below:
Would be interested to know how you achieved it.
Cheers,
Ben

The rnr bed doubleoseven has in his van is the early plywood base and back seat bed , the one in the photo is the later steel framed type which has a locking pin latch either side at the top of the seat back hence the narrowed in top corners, its also a full width caravelle bed .The multivan seat bed units aren't as wide so you would have a gap of a couple of inches each side.

I think the curtains will be alright. A bit see-through, but when it’s dark, should be ok. I’ll just look a bit exotic and mysterious!
Retractable curtain (shower) pole fits nicely under the back seat, won’t be left up for me to bang my head on it all the time.
Also, cleaned up my trailing arms a bit today after seeing the other discussion (Anxiety!). Quick wire brush and a bit of stone chip. They’re in good nick.
