I have just spent the whole day reading this thread from beginning to end. I have to say that the work done is amazing, I wouldn't believe it was the same van if I hadn't read it all. Metalmick8y your are a true metalworking genius, littlemisssunshine and Dr.b you have a stunning van to be proud of.
Metalmick8y does such a good job he makes it look easy. I can't wait till I get mine into my garage to sort its few scabs out, and if it turns out half as nice as this I'll be very happy.
(Im off to search the boards for more MM restoration threads, lots more research to do before the grinder comes out.)
Andy.

Awwww cheers Andy, we have just got back from 2 weeks in the Lakes and the van got more compliments. Mike was brilliant to post pics and show his work for everyone to see and scrutinise, I still love looking at the seams
There are another 5-6 threads I think, so get the kettle on !!

Hi
Don't mean to hijack or any thing, metalmick8y do you make up your 'x' plates for the rear of the rear wheel arches or can/where can I get some? If you make them how do you get the 'x' in it? I know I could just put some flat plate in but I'm a bit fussy and would love it to look right,
Thanks in advance
