Leisure battery

Post by ian prior »

Hello all

Can anyone recommend a good 130ah leisure battery, please? The two I've had suggested cost over £130.00 each; I'm wondering if any of you has found a cheaper but still good quality battery? Thanks!

Ian.

I use a starter battery.

If you go the same make sure that you don't totally flatten it.
I don't use much in the way of leccy - just LED lights, a propex and a bit of stereo.
If you're doing any convertering from 12 to 240 this is not the way for you.

Thanks, both

The battery is for our T5. Sadly, we had to part company with our T25 last year, to be able to afford the T5......

I don't think the T5 converts (inverts) the DC to AC; rather, the management unit converts the incoming AC to DC for the fridge and internal lighting. The two battery types recommended by Bilbo's are £130.00 each, but there are others that are available at around £90.00 - I was just wondering what types of good 130ah batteries others may have experience of.....

Thanks!

Thanks for the replies, all.

After much searching on the interweb thingy, I managed to locate one of the two batteries recommended by Bilbo's at a reasonable price (some were really scary!). The battery is factory fresh, too, so hasn't been sitting gathering dust / discharging for an age....

:ok
