I went for the expensive one - £6.75 posted. How good will it be...?

Well, the answer is... "Ruddy brilliant!"
Tuned TV outside the Tan Hill Inn, perfect reception. Next we were at Irvine Park, perfect again. Now up by Dunoon, faultless picture once more. Well chuffed!

Hi

The instructions says just move the aerial around to wherever gives the best reception. It does have suckers for window mounting.
It is an internal aerial but wondered if sealed in a plastic bag it might be possible to put it outside the van if required although judging by comments, and my own results, the need should not arise.

I tested mine in house today (receptor on the glass window) and can't say was impressed, got a very few freeview channels, about 2 clear, rest chirping/pixeling etc.
It might be better out rural away from interference, I am in Norfolk soon I'll test it out there, but will take my usual aerial in case.

I bought one of these, and it is disappointing, either the tv in question is suffering from receiving desensitisation ( quite possible , it’s old ) or maybe I got a duff antenna

I am the same Mocki, I have a old 12v camping TV (approx 2006), but it works fine with my usual antenna, though this one very hit & miss sometimes I scan and get nothing. Though I wonder if this antenna is designed to work with new TV's only?
