Cheap waffle boards!

Postby silverbullet » 26 Jan 2020, 20:42

There's an ebay seller currently knocking out 50mm boards, full size 1220x310mm, for just £55 a pair including postage!
Move fast, I don't think you will find cheaper, even at a show.

Search for "4x4 waffle boards"

(just make sure you buy a decent pair of leather rigger gloves too, to protect from the odd glass splinter and the savage grit facing)

PS you can always dress off the sharp edges with a flap wheel on an angle grinder

...Until the fist time you use them in anger, and you create some new sharp edges...

Hence my caveat regarding decent gloves!

Boards arrived this morning turns out there 38mm not 50mm.
Do I send them back or will they be strong enough?

I would complain. Plenty strong enough for most situations though.

Wrong boards sent (apparently someone else got my 50mm board) new ones now in the post, plus a nice discount on the 38mm if I wanted to keep them .so I now have both sizes will do some comparisons when I get time, (and the van back).
