Lowering a Westy syncro

Postby fh9977 » 10 Jan 2020, 11:19

Hi, I recently converted my Caravelle into a Westy. There is a picture there.

Issue now is that its height is borderline to get it into car parks. So I am thinking of lowering a bit.

I am using BFGs 235/75/R15, and will probably go for 215/75/R15 soon, that should help a bit.

Anything else I could do?

Ideal if there was a way to have 2 suspension set ups, 1 higher for green laneing and 1 lower for city driving/short trips. But not sure it can be done without air suspension or hydraulics.

Any suggestions?

Many Thanks

215/75/15 are effectively a 25mm lift on standard ride height anyway.
Westy syncro book height is 2110 on standard 14" wheels
