Newbie from Bristol

Postby mattlad » 26 Nov 2019, 21:13

Hi

Thought I'd say hello having just bought my first T3...

Image

We've had T2s for 15 yrs or so but this is the first one of these and it had to be a Syncro. Getting a few (many) issues sorted having bought it with no MOT...so first job was to get it a ticket...

Before o go any further - how can I attach pictures instead of failing with photobucket!!!

Newbie from Bristol

Postby mattlad » 03 Dec 2019, 17:04

After a bit of faffing about this morning with spanners the gearbox is out and ready for its surgery.

Happy that the ‘box will be getting sorted out but a bit sad I can’t drive it around for a bit!

While you are at it and have the opportunity, drop the fuel tank, replace all small fuel hoses, breather pipes, tank straps etc and give it a good wash and Dinitrol under there ;)

Yes I will do - the tank straps have been changed for stainless ones and a touch of welding done to the rear bulkhead. I did notice a couple of fuel lines that want looking at - they look new but seem to be cracking - bldy ethanol.
