T3's dont have any link retainer other than the forged head on the end of the bar.

I suspect that the lift and the use of poly bushes may all be factors.

The lower arm is no longer acting at the angle intended by VW/SDP and polys are less compliant than good old properly vulcanized 50 Shore black rubber

So those previous pics were taken on axle stands.
I did do that as you described carara, every other option was worse.
I have driven it and a bit bumpy, so far so good.
More pics now on the ground, looks better.
Also I now have the softer rubber in the bottom now Brickwerks have it back in stock.
I think a major factor was the cutting down of the rubbers and the inner sleeve, plus purple rubbers in the bottom, and the lifted angles straining it all..ImageImage

looking at the pics the P clip is orientated wrongly, the pipe should run horizontally across the back of the upright, the little bend on the bolt hole tab of the p clip fits over the bottom of the machined flat on the upright, the pipe runs above the M6 bolt head
I didn't look at that when I was under it at SP, but the arb is the right way round, dip in the middle on the bottom

Thanks Aidan, I was wondering if P clips were the way to go,
I have two broken, one of the aforementioned,
and one holding the brake cable to the rear arm underneath.
I have searched p clips at BW and ordered what I think,
10mm and 18mm
I appreciate the advice there,
its all a bit different, non standard callipers I guess.
Will try it the way you say.

protective sleeve probably needs to be after the p clip to stop pipe rubbing on upright, the sleeve should slide to the correct place I think

Was thinking that the protective sleeves could also do with replacing,
and then generally thinking how precarious it has all been, for the lack of attention.
Got me to thinking I would like to replace all the flexis for better ones (braided?)
particularly dont like the look of the links to the trailing arms, short but quite hard,
so I cant really see if they are good or not, potentially a little crack opening instead of flexing.

That do me?
