interesting that they fit the outer bearings as that is the most difficult part to do right as there is no stop for the outer race, I guess they have a press tool that acts as the backstop to position it accurately and consistently

...and yes, familiar.
16" trials have resumed, the 14" units aren't yet sized for bearings so that's ongoing. However I have concluded that these aren't commercially viable at the present time, but this may change. I would need the 2wd/14" version to sell in respectable numbers to make the necessary investment worthwhile.

PS the ones I made have a large fillet radius where the tube meets the flange for strength, also full wall thickness right out to the seal boss, to better support the outer bearing.
The Burley ones have neither.

I knew it would happen. I'm ok for HD housings then.

Burley has had those ages to be fair, good couple of years at least.

Yep, I knew that when I started but $ price + import duty + wholesaler markup + vat made them quite expensive as I recall?

FYI Gary... My HD ones are still very much at the R&D stage. Testing, testing.
I have a suspicion that JP group may be looking at remaking standard 14" ones.

Thanks for that, Ian.

At the moment my bearings don't seem to last as much as 10k miles. I'm doing at least one side for each years MOT. Left side this month!
