Well, it made some difference, it's definitely narrowed down the range of speed at which I'm getting the vibrations, it's now from about 42 to 46mph or so, but not cured yet. Thin wall socket on order, so will swap the prop round and try again over the weekend.

Prop off, again, amazing what you can get done in a 30 minute lunch break with the right tools... :D

Many thanks for the 1/4" socket suggestion, that's saved my sanity. Just in case anyone is in the same boat in the future, this socket worked for me https://uk.rs-online.com/web/p/non-impact-sockets/5094218/

Interesting read. I have a vibration in my drivetrain at the same speeds you describe, sitting at 60mph it disappears. I can also hear a metallic ping underneath when driving slowly in first.

I'll try the diff mount loosen technique first to get it sitting where it wants and see if that reduces the vibration.
