Campervan, a fun trip in the snow..

Postby rollercoaster » 14 Feb 2019, 00:25

Thought this was worth sharing.
Those crazy Russians heading North as far as they can go in an interesting camper,
meeting locals, cooking, fixing the broken bus, showing us humour, all in a good film.
Well filmed, not too long and with a happy ending.

Like it! The casual reaction to anything breaking/falling through ice/generally not going to plan is brilliant. "That'll give us something to do!" :D

I watched it. What a great little film! I like their attitude: no need to get in a flap, its all good.

Anyone know anything about those vehicles? Look like a few bobs worth - not the sort of thing you see on ebay...

A quick google reveals it to be a "Burlak" 6x6

Did anyone see Kate Humble on the BBC series living with Nomads? She was transported in one of those, and the wheel fell off their trailer too. Perhaps it's a bit of a design fault

The trailer is unsprung afaics, so it relies on the tyre sidewall flex. Fatigue failure of the stub axle.
