syncro petrol pipes

Intend changing petrol pipes on 2.1 dj syncro, over engine pipes no problem but tank feed and return look a bit difficult. I have BW kits for both but wondering if the tank feed pipes would easier done by my local garage with a hoist? Anyone done them on the driveway?

The feed/return should be doable on home driveway ramps, the return is more of a faff.

Electricians rods make it much easier to pull the fuel lines through the fire wall above the tank.

I managed to do it by feeding both hoses through at the same time. I tied them together with a 30cm long cable tie, pulled tight so that you end up with a long tail which you would normally cut off, but I then attached a further 2 or 3 cable ties on the tail so that you end up with a cable tie about a metre long. I then fed this long cable tie in from the wheel arch, along the top/rear of the fuel tank and down the fire wall. Then I could pull the cable tie through from the engine compartment while an assistant guided the hoses through from the wheel arch. I taped up the ends of the hoses to keep them clean.
