Thanks,
Looking for a bit of info from those with a vw speed shop exhaust on a Syncro.
Does it fit straight on? Or does it require cutting and re welding?
I read an old thread about it a long time ago and tried the search but can't find it. Thanks.

I cant say about fitting to a syncro but I did have one on my old Aircooled with J tubes and it took the guy in the garage quite a bit of time to fit it as things did not align and needed heating and bending, Dai Syncro has a nice SS exhaust which I have fitted to mine, photo below

I've got one on my 2wd also and it's a nice fit up behind the rear panel, I'm sure I read on here a while ago that it needs adjusting to fit neat on a Syncro.
You're exhaust is a work of art I like where the tailpipes sit, very neat.

Does anyone have any pictures of where on the B pilar the mud flaps sit? I was hoping to get the holes drilled before it gets a coat of paint.
I've got the Brickwerks set, I prefer the look of them rather than the original sa ones that came on the van.
And an opinion on mirrors, keep the big heated mirrors? Or fit the truck style Syncro ones?

electric big mirrors original and rarer (esp rhd) and very good visibility and stability and they fold :ok even if the motors are dead and you never adjust them but if motors still work then perfect imho

if you only have stock mirrors then truck mirrors are an upgrade

Thanks for the thought Aidan, the big mirrors work fine.
I like the look of the truck mirrors, I still have them off my old panel van so I will try one on each side and see what look wins.
The big mirrors would be a nice upgrade to the std ones on the camper..

shame to drill the door frame for one to try, at least the footprint of the lower mount is close enough to cover the rivnut if you go the other way

I think I'll just sit it on with the bottom mounts to see what I think.
The big mirrors are too rare to sit on a shelf.

So far some serious cavity waxing and a few bits slowly finding their way back onto the van.
Lower screen decal (thanks mr Baxter) and a new windscreen fitted this morning and some side glass tonight, I had them tinted a few months back but changed my mind tonight and tore the film off before fitting them.
Hopefully my rear seat belt kit will arrive in the morning from Brickwerks along with a few other bits to keep me busy over the weekend.
