I've plenty of time on my hands , so all the little jobs that kinda should be done are getting attention . My hand brake on light isn't working , looks like i need the plug that plugs into the back of the switch.. I will have a search to see if I can get one .. Unless some body can point me in the right direction please :D

Also check under carpet/mat at base of handbrake lever. There is an earth connection there which is vulnerable to falling off/breaking off of the connector. Mended mine a few times!

check your brake fluid level as i think the light does both :ok

from the handbook...............
(©) - Brake system
The warning lamp* comes on when
• the handbrake is applied
• the fluid level is low
If the lamp does not go out when handbrake
is released or comes on when
driving, the fluid level in reservoir is
too low. If at the same time the pedal
free travel increases, one of the two
hydraulic circuits may have failed.
You can drive on to the nearest V.A.G
workshop but allow for higher pedal
pressures and longer braking distances
on the way.

Cheers for the reply .. Its the funny plug that pushes onto the dash light : I am the 2nd owner of my camper very low Ks when I bought it,
But I get the feeling it sat unused for many a year ,bad corroding on stuff ,bought a tiny fiber stick to clean up switch contacts .. Going try &
take the hazard light switch to bits & clean the contacts as its acting up ..
