Bodywork advise and work needed- Northwich

Post by kimmypw »

I seem to have knackered my vans bodywork recently using a local car wash, i have quite a lot of small rust spots appearing. No idea what i have done but would like someone to take a look to see what I need to do. I have managed to remove some of it, but this feels a very temporary solution.

Can anyone recommend anyone near the Northwich area? My usual place doesn’t cover bodywork sadly.

Any advise would be welcomed

Can you post up some pictures? My friend has used the Anderton mot centre in Northwich before. A bit further away are Garage87 in Cheadle, Muddyfield campers in Runcorn and Sundial campers.

that’s great thanks David. Will look up the names you suggested. Anderton MOT have used before, although he was so busy last time he wasn’t taking on any work on VW’s as had such a back log.

If there is any advise you could offer that would be amazing, even if it’s just something to help until lockdown is over

Thanks again Kim

You could rub the spots with some sandpaper, apply some Vatcan or similar rust treatment then paint with some Rustoleum combi colour in the correct shade of white. Have a look at the wiki at the top of the page, there’s plenty of tips etc https://wiki.club8090.co.uk/index.php/Main_Page#Rust" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; :ok
