Interested in anything to cover the contents and wondering if I can buy rather than make?

I have seen a picture in the past of one on a roller. If i remember it was very rare and off a caravelle/multivan. I should think someone somewhere has modded a roller blind.

Yes I seem to remember seeing a velle GL with a roller cover , must have been special equipment order , only ever seen one , but it did have a vw part number on it ...
it was years ago, before the mobile-phone-always-got-a-camera-with-you days , so didn’t get a picture

Do you not find it a nuisance when camping, ours is really heavy & difficult to manoeuvre & store overnight. :(

I want it for a day van.

I'd like to see how it's constructed and supported.

I was planning to make one out of a sheet of thin ply but if not well supported it will sag.

I was going to use some 25mm thin steel box section I have as a stand and split the cover in the middle across the vehicle so I can lift it easily from inside and get to stuff.

Ours goes under the mattress on top of the engine hatch when we make the bed up.
