Went out to fit a new tailgate seal and it come up about 1.5" short.
Can't remember where I bought it as it was around 2yrs ago but would either be VW heritage or Brickwerks.
Just wondering if I'm missing a trick here or if I've been unlucky.

The latter I would say fella. But I am surprised Brickwerks or Heritage would have got it wrong. If it was JK I could have understood it.

Been through all my receipts but thats the one I can't find.
Although not ideal I may have to glue in a piece from the old one.

Re: Tailgate seal - too short?
Come to think about it that may be where I ordered from.
Definitely went for the better German seal.
Although it shouldn't make any difference - its the D profile out over rather than in? Thats how the one I took off was fitted.
