Engine Mount/Chassis Rail Bolt

Post by The Hairy Camper »

I managed to break one of these M8 bolts (with a flat head) off this diesel engine mount/chassis rail.

Brickwerks said they didn't have any, so I just ordered some of their high grade M8 bolts. Looks like i might need to shave the head down so it mounts properly. I wasn't sure if that was 100% safe though. Thoughts?

What is the thread length? I might have some 12.9 Unbrako cap heads lying around....

I think they are about 30mm, Toby. I can measure in the morning.
