Piston ring sets on Brickwerks

Post by Troopy »

Can anyone explain this?

My van is smoking and turbo and exhaust have been replaced so my mechanic suspects worn piston rings (I don't know).

Looked on BW and they have a range for the 1.6 TD but say 1st oversized and 2nd oversized on different sets.

How do I know which set I need?

Thanks in advance and Happy New Year to all :D

you need to get your engine builder to check, as the block will probably need boring...

Worn rings aren't as common as worn value guides..
