Re: 1.9 dg water pump noise

As above this should be easy enough if replaced relatively recently, just be careful with the thermostat housing as these are obsolete now.

Re: Where to draw the line.

Ah, thought it was, mine would originally have had one of those fitted, very nice. Mine has a high top which was fitted when I bought it, I do like the headroom and dry storage though.

Re: Rusty cab doors solution?

I wanted to replace both of mine but could only find doors with similar rust issues at the time. I ended up replacing the lower outer skins on both and rebuilding the lower part where the water sits above the wheel arch on one. It wasn't too bad to complete, I took mine off to work on them one at a ...

Hightop Insulation

I'm replacing the old carpet lining in my hightop, can anyone recommend modern insulation to replace the 30 year old stuff as I'm planning on replacing it at the same time.

Re: How much welding can a van take?

Sounds like a bad experience whilst learning to weld!! Pretty glad I learnt to do it, saved a lot of money and kept my van on the road. Agree it's not for everyone but it's definitely a handy thing to be able to do when owning an old vehicle
:ok
