Re: Coolant Fan question
This makes interesting reading. I used to hear the fan kick in but have not heard it for some years. Is there a way I can test it still works?

Re: Rev Counter Wiring Help
It is yes, but on most vehicles without a rev counter (particularly early ones) VW didn't fit a complete loom in which case all you can do is run a new cable underneath. Thats what I had to do. Which is what i am going to have to do. The only thing is i cannot for the life of me find a way to get t...

Re: just bought a '90 T25 need advice
I have owned a Westy for 8 years and people have always said they are increasing in value. I think that is an urban myth created by my fellow Westy owners. Granted they may retain their value but I cannot say I have really seen any increase in value in the last 8 years. My personal opinion is that y...

Re: Coil - + and - terminals?
many thanks. That helps.
So if i put my green wire to the pin 1 on the coil can i then just put the red coil wire direct to the battery + and the black direct to the battery negative and get the tacho working?

Re: Aftermarket tacho- any recommendations
I have one of those £8 tachos on order and have searched Wiki for a wiring diagram but can't find one.
I have an 84 1.9dg with ceramic fuses. Can anyone please tell me how to wire in a tacho?
thanks
Chris

Re: Replacement Domestic Boiler
thanks folks. One of my neighbours is a plumber and he came round yesterday. It appears my biggest problem is that we only have a 15 mm gas feed and most modern boilers require a 22mm. Because of the layout of our house the gas feed runs under the floor boards on the first floor so is really difficu...

Re: Replacement Domestic Boiler
That will be for the combi version, most combi boilers when the kW is over 24, the heating side will still be 24. For 99% of houses that have a combi you will never need over 24kw for the heating. For the hot water side, the higher the kW the faster you can run the tap. I have a 30cdi combi at home...

Re: Replacement Domestic Boiler
A Worcester 30ri is a nice compact boiler and will fit in a Nehctik cupboard. They also sell one called a 30cdi regular which has bigger dimensions so won't fit in a cupboard. That one also comes as a 40kw. 30kw should be enough.. You need to know how many rads you have and kw total of them. To giv...
