Inlet Trunking /Pancake Studs
Hi all, Does anyone know where I can get hold of some replacements for the studs and nuts that hold the inlet trunking / plastic pancake onto the carb. I've had two cross threaded, so it's only being held on by one at the moment. I've attached a photo in case I haven't described it well. Hopefully t...

Re: Caravelle to Camper self build.
I am lovin this post!... It's really making me want to get on with my interior! Unfortunately, my interior only exists as a small foamboard/card model (to scale - cos I'm a geek! :) ), however, last week I did strip and zinc primer my floor, and wire in my leisure battery (slightly smaller than your...

Re: Choke pull-down diaphragm pipe - 1.9DG
the valve is missing then
OK... well I hope it's not too vital, if it's missing.
Just spent the last couple of hours tryin to get that nut off without any luck... Guess I'll have to get a nut splitter tomorrow and give that a go, although I'm not sure there's enough room around it.

Thanks for the quick reply...
I just had a look at my pipe and there's nothing inside it... I can see right the way through

The pipe or nut?you'll struggle to get one new one but you may have more success at a breaker

Choke pull-down diaphragm pipe - 1.9DG
Hi all, I just took the Choke pull-down diaphragm pipe off to do the "suck test" on the unit and noticed a hole in it... so I need to replace it, but I don't know what type of pipe to get... this might sound like a stupid question ask, but I thought it best to check... I'm getting a pull d...

Emergency Spares Box
Hi everyone, I was chatting to a friendly RAC man the other day and he was telling me about a call out he had made to a Bay window Camper that this guy had hired out. The clutch cable had gone and it was late Saturday night, so he told the guy that he was pretty much screwed for the weekend. The guy...

Water Pump Leak?
Hi all, I'm losing coolant (sometimes just a little, sometimes quite a lot) from my 1.9 DG. I'm not entirely sure where it's coming from, but seems to be coming from where the water pump pulley is connected to the pump. Is this possible? Would this be a gasket that needs replacing or a new water pum...

Re: Water light/horn
I have a similar problem... My temp gauge sometimes doesn't work, but a quick honk of the horn and there it is, working again.
Sometimes the fuel gauge gets involved too.
Also, on some occasions, if the horn won't work, then the washer jets solve the problem...

Re: Rat look T25?
At what point does a van stop being a rusty old "pooh" box and start being 'rat look'? I like to think my van is between the two... It has a few chips, dents and rust patches from before I got it. The natural patina is coming along nicely! :) I would like to have it mint condition, but I h...
