Re: Mercedes Steels

Oren Kipnis wrote: 16 May 2024, 20:22 As long as you don't see a Mercedes Benz part number on the outside, the wheel is NOT a MB wheel, but may be some aftermarket.
The KBA is a German certification which can appear with the same number on many different wheels.

Good to know - thanks - so not OEM Merc wheels then.

Re: Mercedes Steels

Thanks, similar but not the same (18 hole vs 20 hole). The KBA number seems to show up for lots of different styles of wheels, not sure if it's actually just a quality / specification / approval reference, rather than a part number. Seems like a new set (or 4 to match the spare) might be required. M...

Re: Mercedes Steels

Only markings on the outside are:
  • DE
  • ET31
  • 6Jx15H2
  • 19/01
  • KBA 43816
I'll see if I can get some time this weekend to take one off and have a look at the back.

Re: Mercedes Steels

I'm trying to id the wheels on my Syncro, which I think may be Mercedes ones? Do any merc wheel experts on here have an idea? https://i.imgur.com/vlfKCzE.jpeg They're 15" and marked as ET31, along with the details below - KBA 43816. https://i.imgur.com/NpUEEMG.jpeg Searching on Google was incon...

Re: Newly purchase T25 - Subaru 2.5 in it - Engine Temp question

Mine has the opposite problem, when cold the needle sits off the gauge and will only ever reach about 1/3 once warmed up. Everything runs well and the temperature reported by OBDII is stable on long runs. I work on the basis that as long as it's consistent then I'm happy.

Re: EJ25 Speed Sensor

Had the chance today to pull out the instrument cluster and do some investigation. Confirmed that the VSS fitted is an RJES one, not sure what age. https://i.imgur.com/lwx5ZrZ.jpeg Connected it up with a pull up resistor and with a screwdriver in the back of the speedo I could see it alternating bet...

Re: EJ25 Speed Sensor

Thank you, that's a really detailed reply, much appreciated! The ECU part number is incomplete (one digit missing), so I cant definitively tell which one you have. I suspect it is probably 22611 AH250? If so that would make it an EJ25 Legacy engine from MY02 or MY03 with EGR. Does that sound right? ...

EJ25 Speed Sensor

Hello, I have questions around speed sensors and EJ25 ECUs, does anyone have any experience? A bit of background - my van has a EJ25 conversion which was done by a previous-previous owner. When I bought the van I was told it didn't have a speed sensor fitted, and it came with a still boxed GPS speed...

Re: Subaru Fuel Pump Recommendations

I recently replaced the pump on mine and went with the recommended Bosch (0 580 464 070) for my EJ25 from this RJES page - https://rjes.com/subaru-conversion-fuel-system/ - which was a good read. It's notably quieter than the unbranded pump which it replaced, although I think it had been cavitating ...
