Re: Knocking from ventilation system
Another update for context, these are pictures of what was fixed for £1200. This was from a specialist bodywork / crash repair place. E D I T. These are pictures before the repair. Re: Knocking from ventilation system
Thanks all, the outcome of this is that my other half now dislikes the van and wants rid of it as it is too expensive. I am going to try turn it round as we are just now in a position to enjoy it, but unless I can convince her that it's going to be worth it, you might see it advertised here quite so...

Re: Knocking from ventilation system
These were the two holes that needed fixing, pictures taken part way through the work. https://i.imgur.com/NrtqFYX.jpeg https://i.imgur.com/lgjuVsE.jpeg I am comparing the bodywork repair to some work I had done a few months back that was less than half the cost all in, and was also a significant am...

Re: Knocking from ventilation system
£2600 Labour, plus parts.
I have no issue with the cost of the parts as those are itemised (maybe with the exception of the windscreen that they broke while reinstalling it).

Re: Knocking from ventilation system
Resurrected this as I have just had a garage remove the dash and fix the problem. The question I have is what is the absolute maximum that you would expect this work to take, assuming everything went wrong i.e. needed to drill out screws and re-thread to get the dash back in etc. The garage is charg...

Re: Leisure battery not charging
Sorry, I maybe didn't explain, the leisure battery is fully charged and fine, I charged it fully using an external charger, it reads 12.94 volts and is holding that. The issue is that the fuse between the split charger in the Sargent EC155 PCU keeps blowing. Does that make sense? https://i.imgur.com...

Re: Leisure battery not charging
Update on this, the same fuse keeps blowing. It had a 20amp fuse when installed so I have kept replacing like for like, but it has going through 4 now. It seems to be happening when charging of the split charger which isn't ideal as I need it to do that without breaking. Any suggestions for why it m...

Steering wheel doesn't sit right
Hi everyone, I had to replace the key barrel recently as the old one was worn and kept falling out, which all went fine, but since putting it back together I haven't been able to get the steering wheel back on quite even, so the horn doesn't work. I have tried replacing the spacer to see if that was...

Re: Leisure battery not charging
This is really daft, but after testing, I found a fuse blown hidden at the back of a cupboard that stopped the leisure battery charging. I have no excuse, i fitted the electrics, I just forgot about it on my wiring diagram. Thank you for your help, I am learning a huge amount from this forum, really...

Re: Ignition not working when installed
This is what I am working with. My current assumption is that the key barrel and steering lock are old and worn and as a result, when I turn the key to move the ignition switch that starts the starter motor, it doesn't turn far enough to actually make the connection and start the engine. When I turn...

Re: Ignition not working when installed
The ignition was replaced recently (not by me), and it does just fall out of the socket, not exactly secure.
