Re: Engine number

Still no joy, but I’ve asked the local friendly garage to have a look while they remove my very stiff injector! Thanks anyway!

Engine number

Hi all, Trying to find the engine number, but struggling. Have found the previous owner didn’t inform DVLA of engine change so V5C is incorrect and no help! It’s reportedly a 1.9 TD from a Polo, and looking at service history was installed in 2000. But don’t know age of engine. I’ve found one number...

Lights left on

Me again... looking for some more guidance! One day I’ll be able to return the favour! I have replaced relay 19 with relay 99 and intermittent wipers still working, so that’s good news! Have now installed relay 292 in position 7 but nothing happens when lights are left on and ignition is off. How ca...

Re: Courtesy light when door open

New light installed (with an led bulb) and all working well! Bit of searching in the back and found the courtesy light for the sliding door hidden under the headlining... and all in working order :D

Re: Courtesy light when door open

Thanks slowcoach! There are no other door switches on the van, so I’m wondering if the other cable has been piggy-backed for something else. I’ll just pretend I haven’t seen it for now! Have managed to get it all working... but it’s intermittent. I’ve found the fault lies within the switch on the li...

Courtesy light when door open

Hi everyone, sorry if this is already answered somewhere, but I’ve done a search and looked at the Wiki and can’t find an answer. My courtesy light does not come on when the door is open, but does when switched to the on position manually. The switch itself is in good condition and rust-free. The wi...

Re: Analogue Clock

My analogue clock wasn’t working... found the circuit foil was split and no longer connected. Have run an insulated cable from the connector block to the clock terminal and it now works!

Hope yours is an easy fix, too!

Re: Wheely not sure what to do...

You can put hub caps on, chrome or similar cover roughly 60% of the centre, you can also get embellishment rings in chrome for the outer, or a very cheap way is plastic wheel trims (14 inch) from Halfords or similar Thanks David. I think for now we’ll go down the cheap trims route until we decide e...

Wheely not sure what to do...

https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20191028/4bab56a6eeab0e8f63633f5fd7921f16.jpg Disclaimer: this is NOT my wheel. It’s too dark to get a decent pic of mine, so borrowing this one from tinterweb! We have this style wheel on our van... guessing it’s original? The previous owner had painted them (badly...

AngeloEvs wrote:The only requirement for speakers is that they are both in phase with each other, if connected out of phase the only effect would be bass and mid range frequency impaired but the speakers would still function.

Good to know, thank you!
