ok Kevtherev , could you put the oil gauge on the low pressure and do the same test, then we could see what the pressure difference is between the 2, this would gives a rough percentage loss.

Hi Itchyfeet, no it has been good reading, the other thing to consider is as the oil gets hot it gets thinner so any irregularity's in the piston and its seat could be a point of pressure loss, so guess its worth taking out and cleaning well, and see if you can see the seat surface, may try the wash...

Using the vehicle rev counter, was after normal drive approx 10 miles, buzzer not tripping, have been looking on web they seem to do up rated pressure relief valve for T2 cant find one for T3, also looking at oil pump cover plate. think the engine has approx 60000 on it as it was replaced about 8 ye...

Hi itchyfeet, have the same gauge as you, and looking at your RPM would say the same sort of readings, it currently has Halfords 20/50 classic with a mann filter, both changed last week.

Have fitted an oil pressure gauge to the 0.3 bar location on my DJ engine, but at 2000 rpm have only got about 1.2 bar, as this is after the big ends am main bearings guess it will be lower than where they suggest checking at the 0.9 bar switch, no lights flashing but oil pressure drops to about 0.5...

Hi, will the engine run with the system connected all correctly, if so then unlikely to be same ECU fault. points to check when you key on does the fuel pump run for about 5 seconds then shut off, if so that's correct. if you pop out 2 of the injectors and switch the pump on do you get fuel gushing ...

Just to let you all know the second hand ECU i got off of ebay arrived today, fitted it and she fired up straight away, am so happy but lessons learnt DO NOT LEAVE ANY ENGINE BAY EARTHS LOOSE, as I'm sure thats what spiked the old one. Will probably get my old unit repaired so have a spare, am just ...

Hi, thanks for that bit of info, it obviously hasn't happened on T25 that much if at all, think the fault happened after i had replaced all the earth eyelets with new solder ones, but i had left one of the bolts loose, so think when i tried to start it, i spiked it ....
