my heater was fed from the petrol tank ,have you got the exhaust for it?

Will take a picture , if I can find it (garage somewhere)... :ok

mate ,the shower works by a pump near the petrol tank ...

I have a broke heater as well...(but I live in France ,its warm)

no mate ,but i am pretty sure i snapped mine ,i think you can drill one out completly and put a nut and bolt in.. It's not a good idea to be running with no thermostat, as it is dual purpose, not only does it allow coolant to the radiator as it does so it closes off the radiator bypass. Sent from my SM-G920F using Tapatalk I took mine out three years ago ,driving up the Pyrennes in the middle of summer pushes ...

sorry guys I should have got off my bum and had a look ,the handle broke because the back lock mech seised ,was also hard opening it from inside too... I think it was 83-84, the early type have a small plastic nub fitted to the door at the open end of the handle Ich fahre einen Bulli. Hi Craig Cheers Mate. Seems my best option is to forget the 1.6TD as they are rare as rocking horse manure and spares are becoming a nightmare. Best option would appear to be to drop a 1.9D in (eg from a Golf Mk3). Any thoughts on this please? Seems it is quite doable with a few mods which, hopeful...
