Think 12.3v is a bit low so definitely needs charging.

The best thing for keeping air cooled cool is by making sure your tin ware is complete, the engine is clean especially the fins underneath and regular ie 3k miles/6mths oil and filter changes.

Mine, only one on a diesel, I suspect, was due to overheating. I am sure my mot guy left it running on its test and the fan never kicked in. Ran it for about a year with the problem, sometimes it was ok sometimes pressurising, eventually it was pressurising all the time. Yours, if not overheated, co...

Exact same symptoms as mine. After alot of chasing around including new thermostat, pump, coolant changes etc. It turned out to be a cracked cylinder head!

All you are doing is using the leisure battery to jump start the van.
Alternatively you could swap it over just to see if you can get the engine to turn over.

Run a set of jump leads from leisure to starter and see what happens.

As said that's right. I might be doing this wrong but I only use 1st as a crawler or hill start gear. I use 2nd for all other starting.

Deffo a leisure drive top, same as my mates. Should have a rail around the flat bit. Think they might havel done different styles though as there are pics on Internetwith different shaped windows.
