I am sure this has been asked before and yes I have searched for it
Do later driver/passenger doors fit early vans? All I know is they are deemed as "late".
Any help would be grateful. Thanks.

Re: welding sliding door
I have repaired the bottom of my door with the repair panels. Taking the door off will make the job SO MUCH MORE easier to work with its a no brainer. It meant I could lay it down, cut the rotten inside piece off first with a little bit of overlap to attach it too. It then meant lining up the outer ...

Re: T4 steel wheels?
Sooooo......being a little less educated than most when it comes to wheels. What are the Merc wheels called or are they just any Merc 5x112 Steel wheels? Should there be something in particualar I should be looking out for?

Re: T4 steel wheels?
So I assume you could use the T4 steel wheels with spacers then? If anyone has any advice on which one may suit it would be gladly taken. The reason I ask is because I have been offered a set of 15" T4 steels for free which I want to tidy up and paint white and then colour the centre caps to ma...

.....plus they're ET44(early) and ET55(late) so spacers would be required anyway.
I have no idea what that means, but I will gladly take your word for it.

T4 steel wheels?
Hi, will 15" T4 steel wheels fit onto a T25 without any changes? I know the PCD is the same, but I seem to be getting conflicting stories.
Has anyone done it themselves with success?

Re: How can I make my van faster up hills/ motorway ? PART 2
Hi Sternal, This thread is just one of those threads where nobody can say for sure until someone who is in the know takes a look. Wether you spend out on a rolling road or a mechanic who knows his Aircooled from his oil cooled.... <---- its a joke, dont hurt me. The point being to be a camper owner ...

Re: How can I make my van faster up hills/ motorway ? PART 2
Following on from my post a few pages back.......where I had (have) a similar problem... I got a set of Weber 34ICT carbs from VW Heritage for £369. I then got a local guy to do my timing, install carbs and tune (this happened today) and hey presto I gained almost 20mph on my top end speed. I only t...

Re: How can I make my van faster up hills/ motorway ? PART 2
Oh no not webers! :( Everyone seems to have different opinions on carbs.....price vs performance vs webers vs dellortos vs empi vs original solexs......I have heard it all. In the end it should come down to what you want vs what you can afford. If your old carbs are broken like mine or indeed Stern...

Re: How can I make my van faster up hills/ motorway ? PART 2
Just thought I would put my thoughts in black and white. I have got a 2.0 Aircooled which currently struggles to get abouve 50mph. Even if I am on a flat motorway stretch it sits just on 50 and wont go a bean more unless there is wind behind me and the road slopes down. Now, it never used to be like...

Re: Planning a trip around Europe
Even driving round some of it would be good enough for me. I might try and get there early in the morning so I can show them what pure horsepower looks like

Planning a trip around Europe
Hi guys, The wife and I are in the very very very early stages of planning a trip around Europe next year for 2-3 weeks in our T25. Now.....having never driven on the mainland this will be a pretty big adventure so any advice would be very welcome. I may be way way out on time scales about how much ...

Re: Solex or other?
To be fair, I can only reach 60 if I get a good long flat road.
Its more improved MPG and a better pull along the motorway I am after and my current solexs are unable to be tuned due to a previous bodge.
