Re: intermitent starter problem
thanks mid life crisis, the spare connector was loose, so a few seconds attention with long nosed pliers, appears to have sorted the problem. Better than £200 to have a new starter motor fitted. it's a pity i didn't have the brains to try that when it first happened.

intermitent starter problem
whilst on holiday, I couldn't get the camper to start, battery warning light, oil pressure light and heater coil light came on ,but the starter motor didn't turn. I called out the RAC. They said the starter motor was knackered, and towed me to a garage. |The garage ordered a new starter motor, and w...

Re: Massive oil loss
it's possible I over filled it, it took about 5 litres, however I did it in stages and kept checking the dip stick. I certainly isn't over full now! The oil is now dripping off the silencer, when I put a rag inside the crankshaft pulley ( with the engine off), it's definitely very oily. it's difficu...

Re: Massive oil loss
Thanks itchyfeet,
it isn't the drain plug, as far as I can see either the water pump or the crank end seal

Massive oil loss
Hi ive got a 88 1.6 n/a diesel. last weekend I changed the oil, in order to drain the oil quicker I removed the drain plug completely (this may have been a big mistake). During the week I drove to work, and the oil pored out of the bottom of the engine, once the engine had warmed up. The leak isn't ...

bell housing
on the bell housing of my 1.6 deisel there is a circular hole just to the right of the starter motor. It's about 2 inches in diameter and is threaded. I can see the teeth on the flywheel through it, I assume he should be something screwed into it, but what?

Re: heater switches
Thanks Ewen,
I'm beginning to understand how much time a 23 year old camper takes, it's 2 steps forward and one step back at the moment, or maybe vice versa

Re: heater switches
The heater is still there! turning the switch on and off has no effect on the heater, so i assume it's either dead of disconected, i thought about removing it, but will have to decide what to do with the water pipes.

heater switches
Hi this is my first post, and i'm new to t25 ownership. on my heater there are 2 fan switches either side of the sliders. the one on the right works fine, lots of noise and reasonable amounts of hot air. The one to the left of the sliders doesn't appear to do anything, apart from make the headlights...
