Re: Rough Idle - Intermittent Stalling.

Any links to buy some good ones anyone?
I always assumed I was.
I occasionally got the feeling it wasn’t running on all four but dismissed it as me being paranoid.

Re: Rough Idle - Intermittent Stalling.

I posted about my van being a bit rough once it comes off the choke the other month so altered the choke do it came off a bit later and it was much better. Occasionally since then it has had the same problem of stuttering at junctions within about 2 minutes of the choke coming off. If I get a good r...

Re: Mobile helicoil/ timesert mechanic. North West.

Just been under it and re tapped the one that was a good depth and drilled the other ( top) one to about 15mm and tapped that. Helicoils fittted and they both accept a bolt. I’m going to leave it overnight for the loctite to cure. It wasn’t as bad as I thought. I need to swap the bleed valve now as ...

Mobile helicoil/ timesert mechanic. North West.

I’m just testing the water while I weigh up my options regarding what to do with two knackered exhaust manifold stud holes on my camper. Has anyone used or can recommend a mobile mechanic in the North West / Cheshire/ Staffs who can drill out and helicoil on the drive. The offending pipe has been re...

Late or early van? I would change oil 15/40 mineral, replace oil switch ( one switch if early van) and go from there.

A mouse can get through the tiniest of gaps, something like 10mm.

Re: Accelerate - Stutter - Die

Have you replaced the ignition amp’ at any time? I had similar problems a few years ago and replaced mine to get it running again. I did the accelerator pump diaphragm at the same time as it was perishing.

Engine bay or front to rear metal?
I bought my front to rear from Just Kampers.
Brickwerks/ JK and Heritage do a bundle kit of the (rubber)engine bay one’s.

Re: Advice and Reccomendations please? Fixing dodgy work!

That photo of the Troutbeck Inn takes me back. We used to stay at a site near there in Hutton. We’ve not been that way in the van for a few years, we’ll have to revisit it sometime.

Wow.
I can’t help with anywhere in Cumbria only Manchester/Lancashire way.
What I can’t believe by those photo’s is why when they had a bare shell they slapped all that filler on.
Here’s hoping someone local to you can help.

Re: Brake splash plates

I have only used them on screws with knackered heads and they worked brilliantly, I didn’t know the op had snapped the heads off whatever he was trying to remove.
Please ignore my bobbins advice 👍

Re: Brake splash plates

Have you tried a set of damaged screw extractors?
I’ve used them for knackered screws on my scooter but not the van. I haven’t got any front splash plates so maybe I should practice what I preach though
